[BUG] Gift Pro subscription auto-downgraded to Free plan during active period

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I redeemed a Claude Pro Gift (1 Month) on April 5, 2026.
The subscription was confirmed and I was able to use Pro
features normally.

However, my account was automatically downgraded to the
Free plan without any action on my part.

  • Active period: April 5 – May 5, 2026 (22 days remaining)
  • I have a receipt confirming the gift subscription (available

upon request via support ticket)

Expected behavior: Pro plan should remain active until May 5, 2026.
Actual behavior: Account shows Free plan. Pro features are inaccessible.

I have submitted a support ticket but only received automated
responses with no resolution.

This appears to be the same issue reported in #44163 and #41581.

What Should Happen?

The Pro plan subscription should remain active until May 5, 2026,
as stated in the receipt. Anthropic should restore the Pro plan
for the remaining period (~22 days) without requiring any
additional payment, as this was a valid gift subscription.
