[High Priority][Billing/Auth] Paid Claude invoice shows Paid but account remains on Free plan

High priority billing/auth entitlement issue. Requested maintainer labels: high-priority, bug, area:cost, area:auth, platform:web.

What's Wrong?

My Claude account is currently showing Free plan even though my billing page shows a paid subscription invoice.

Account / billing email: roshanasingh4@gmail.com

Current state shown in Claude billing:

  • Account plan: Free plan
  • Latest invoice: Jun 6, 2026
  • Latest invoice amount: $236
  • Latest invoice status: Paid
  • Billing page still shows an Upgrade plan button

The invoices list also shows prior paid invoices, including:

  • May 6, 2026 — $236 — Paid
  • Apr 4, 2026 — $183.45 — Paid
  • Mar 18, 2026 — $118 — Paid

Despite the paid invoice, the account is not receiving paid-plan access. Please do not suggest resubscribing, because that could create an additional charge while the existing paid invoice is still unresolved.

What Should Happen?

The paid Claude subscription should be active for the paid billing period, and the account should not show as Free while the invoice status is Paid.

Actual Behavior

The account shows Free plan, and paid-plan access is unavailable, while the billing page shows a Paid invoice for $236 on Jun 6, 2026.

Evidence

I have screenshots showing:

  • Billing page with Free plan at the top
  • Invoice dated Jun 6, 2026 for $236 marked Paid
  • Earlier paid invoices also listed in the same billing page

I can share receipt/invoice details and screenshots with Anthropic support. I am avoiding posting receipt numbers or card details publicly.

Support Attempts

I have already contacted support. The issue appears to be a billing/entitlement mismatch rather than a failed payment, because the invoice is marked Paid in Claude billing.

Requested Resolution

Please escalate this to a human billing/support specialist and manually reconcile the paid invoice with the Claude account entitlement, or otherwise restore the paid subscription access for the existing paid invoice.

Additional Information

This is a Claude billing/account entitlement issue, not a Claude Code CLI bug. I am posting here because similar paid-invoice/free-plan entitlement issues have been documented in this repository and normal support has not resolved the issue yet.
