Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

The window control icons in the top-left title bar (sidebar toggle, panel toggle, search, etc.) are rendered on top of each other instead of being laid out horizontally.

The issue occurs every time Claude Desktop starts and persists after:

  • Completely uninstalling the application
  • Installing the latest version
  • Restarting Windows

The problem is present even on a clean installation.

Environment:

  • OS: Windows 11
  • Display: 3440×1440 ultrawide
  • Display scaling: 100%
  • Claude Desktop version: 1.21459.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Claude Desktop.
  2. Observe the icons in the top-left title bar.
  3. The icons are compressed and overlap each other on every launch.

What Should Happen?

The title bar icons should be displayed horizontally with normal spacing and should remain fully clickable.
