What were you trying to do?

Give Claude access to my repository (fouarges/tmeshro3, main branch) in a claude.ai chat so it could read the files. My GitHub account is connected, the Claude GitHub App is installed, and the repository status check in Settings > Connectors > GitHub Integration passes for this repo.

What happened instead?

In the chat, I used "+" > Add from GitHub. The dialog listed my repos, but it had no file browser. It said Claude would read the repo through the GitHub connector when needed. After I picked the repo and clicked "Add repository," it only inserted the main branch URL into the chat. When I sent the message, Claude said it had no GitHub tools in the conversation, so it tried to fetch the URL as a web page, and GitHub blocked that. Claude couldn't read any files from the repo. The settings page says Chat lets you "attach files directly from a repo," but the dialog never offered a way to do that. Screenshots of the dialog and the GitHub Integration settings page are attached.
