Triage: kind cyber · domain general · flagging model Opus 4.8 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below

Type: Cybersecurity safety-filter false positive · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

This session was analyzing a cryptographic authentication handshake between a user-owned controller and drone, solely to understand a firmware-enforced altitude cap, with explicit confirmation the researcher owns both devices. This is legitimate security/firmware research on owned hardware, not an attack against third-party systems, and the block interrupted an in-progress technical analysis rather than surfacing an exemption path proactively.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-06T17:41:09.403Z.
