[BUG] Claude Max 5x gift subscription redeemed but subscription end date not extended — billing system failed to apply gift

What's Wrong?

I redeemed a Claude Max 5x gift subscription on June 10, 2026 via the web (claude.ai/gift/redeem). The redemption appeared to process, but my subscription end date was not extended from June 12, 2026 to July 12, 2026. No confirmation email was received. The gift card code (c0e61378-38cc-45dc-a8ce-17f8181fcd15) now appears as used/consumed but the subscription was never extended. I have contacted support multiple times over 2 days (Conversation IDs: 215474636246624, 215474648585014, 215474651250896) with no human response. This matches the pattern reported in issues #45335, #48821, and #66259.

What Should Happen?

My subscription end date should be extended from June 12, 2026 to July 12, 2026 upon successful gift redemption.

Error Messages/Logs

No error message shown. Redemption appeared to succeed silently but subscription was never extended.

Steps to Reproduce

Have an active Claude Max 5x web subscription expiring June 12, 2026
Receive a Claude Max 5x gift card
Redeem via claude.ai/gift/redeem on June 10, 2026
Check Settings > Billing — subscription end date remains June 12, not extended to July 12

This is a known recurring billing bug affecting claude.ai gift subscriptions. Related GitHub issues: #45335, #48821, #66259. Support tickets submitted with no human response after 2 days: 215474636246624, 215474648585014, 215474651250896. Subscription expires tomorrow June 12, 2026.
