[BUG] Gift Pro subscription redeemed but account shows Free plan - Claude Code cannot authenticate

What's Wrong?

I redeemed a gift Pro subscription on April 3, 2026. My billing page shows a $0.00 Paid invoice confirming the redemption, but my account still displays "Free plan". When I try to authenticate Claude Code (VS Code extension), the browser shows: "Claude Max or Pro is required to connect to Claude Code".

What Should Happen?

My account should show Pro plan and Claude Code should authenticate successfully using my gift subscription.

Error Messages/Logs

Browser error: "Claude Max or Pro is required to connect to Claude Code"
Billing page shows: Free plan
Invoice date: April 3, 2026 - $0.00 - Status: Paid

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to syukfullstack@gmail.com on claude.ai
  2. Check Settings > Billing — shows Free plan despite Paid invoice
  3. Open Claude Code in VS Code extension
  4. Click login and authenticate
  5. Browser redirects to claude.ai/oauth and shows "Claude Max or Pro is required"
