[BUG] Claude Desktop blank screen on Windows — mainView timeout on version 1.11847.5

What's Wrong?

Claude Desktop launches but shows a completely black/blank screen every time. The app is unresponsive and cannot be closed normally.

What Should Happen?

Claude Desktop should load normally and display the chat interface.

Error Messages/Logs

2026-06-10 13:31:49 [info] [account] IPC did not provide accountUuid, falling back to bootstrap API
2026-06-10 13:31:57 [warn] [buddy-ble] mainView not ready: Timed out waiting for mainView to become ready

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Install Claude Desktop v1.11847.5 from claude.ai/download (MSIX package)
  2. Launch the app
  3. Blank/black screen appears immediately, app is unresponsive

Additional Information

Tried: multiple reinstalls, clearing all app data folders, running as administrator, launching with --disable-gpu (app requires GPU so this fails). Browser version at claude.ai works fine. Issue appears to be a bad auto-update.
