What's Wrong?

The user is redirected to the normal Claude chat route and cannot access any appeal form.

What Should Happen?

A suspended user should be presented with an appeal form or appeal workflow.

  1. Open the Safeguards article:

  1. Click "Submit an appeal"
  1. Browser navigates to:

https://claude.ai/restricted

  1. User is immediately redirected to:

https://claude.ai/new

Description:

Summary

The appeal process for suspended accounts appears inaccessible.

The official Safeguards article directs suspended users to "Submit an appeal", which links to:

https://claude.ai/restricted

However, visiting that URL immediately redirects to:

https://claude.ai/new

instead of displaying an appeal form.

Additional notes

  • Reproduced across multiple browsers
  • Reproduced across multiple devices
  • Reproduced in incognito/private mode
  • Reproduced on different network connections
  • Support responses direct users back to the same appeal link

Because the appeal page is inaccessible, affected users cannot complete the required appeal process.
