[BILLING] Gift subscription silently cancelled — support unable to escalate, need engineering team

My Claude Max 20x gift subscription (1 month, $200) was automatically
downgraded to Free plan after 3 days. 27 days remain unused.

Previous issue #47286 was closed by bot without resolution.
Support email (Conv ID: 215473883220490) confirmed this is a
"technical billing issue" but stated they are "unable to escalate
to engineering or restore subscription access."

I have nowhere left to turn except this GitHub issue.

Evidence

• Account: pb07007302@gmail.com
• Billing shows $0.00 invoices (normal for gift subscriptions)
• No payment method on file
• Payment failure is NOT the cause (confirmed by support)

Engineering intervention required — support AI cannot resolve this.

What Should Happen?

Account should remain on Max 20x plan for the full 1-month gift duration.
Engineering team should restore Max 20x access for the remaining 27 days,
or provide a mechanism for support agents to escalate billing bugs
caused by gift subscription system errors.

1. Purchase a Claude Max 20x gift subscription (1 month, $200)
2. Recipient redeems the gift code on claude.ai
3. Use the account normally for 3 days
4. Log back in — account now shows Free plan with no warning or email
5. Billing page shows $0.00 invoices (expected for gift subscriptions)

but Max plan access is gone

1. Contact support — AI agent confirms "technical billing issue"

but cannot escalate or restore access

1. Submit GitHub issue — closed by bot without resolution (#47286)
