[Bug] Excessive token consumption with multi-agent workflows using Sonnet models
Resolved 💬 5 comments Opened Mar 30, 2026 by richsak Closed May 15, 2026
Bug Description
this session used up 3% of my weekly limit, it makes no sense why it costs so many tokens. This workflow did use 6 sub agents however 5 were sonnet and 1 was opus, during the 2 weeks of 2x usage i was using a similar workflow but the main session in max mode and implementing fixes directly itself whilst using 12+ opus review sub agents and that workflow was only using up to 2% of my weekly usage limits the majority of the time it didnt move or was 1% weekly usaged used up
