Environment
- Claude Desktop for Windows (Microsoft Store build 2.37337.1.0), Windows 11
- Code tab
What happened
Until yesterday the Code tab sidebar showed a Routines section. Today it is gone. The routines themselves still exist and run normally; they are all listed on the "Scheduled" page.
The app's config (%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json) has the built-in Routines section stored as hidden:
{
"id": "routines",
"kind": "routines",
"v": 2,
"order": 1,
"collapsed": true,
"shown": false
}
There is no way to turn it back on
- The right-click menu on a sidebar section header only has: New session, Edit environment, Move down, Reset order, Select all, Collapse all, Expand all, Archive all. No section visibility option.
- Not in the View menu, and not on the Customize page.
- "Reset order" did not bring it back.
- Restarting the app did not help.
- Editing
"shown": truein the config file while the app is closed does not stick: on launch the app writes"shown": falseback, so the value seems to come from another store.
Expected
A menu option to show the Routines section again (or have it shown by default), and a note on how to restore it today.
