Summary

Tapping a link to a Remote Control session, https://claude.ai/code/session_…, from a notification opens the Claude iOS app on the right session only if the app is already running. If the app has been force-quit, the same link opens Safari first and the app then lands on the Home screen, not on the session.

Repro

  1. Run a Claude Code session with Remote Control and note its https://claude.ai/code/session_… link.
  2. Send a push notification to the iPhone whose tap target is that link (a Home Assistant companion-app notification with a URL action).
  3. Leave the Claude iOS app running in the background and tap the notification. Safari opens, then the app opens on the session.
  4. Force-quit the Claude iOS app and send the same notification again. Tap it. Safari opens, then the app opens on the Home screen.

Same link, same session. Only the app's running state differs. Reproduced twice in a row on one phone.

Expected

The link opens the session, whether or not the app was already running.
