Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Environment

  • App: Claude Code (desktop app), Windows 11
  • Tool: mcp__claude-in-chrome (Claude in Chrome extension, real Chrome — not the built-in preview browser)
  • Target domain: app.scanye.pl (also tried www.scanye.pl, scanye.pl)

Problem

Calling the navigate tool (mcp__claude-in-chrome) to https://app.scanye.pl consistently fails with:

Navigation to this domain is not allowed

Another domain in the same kind of session (admin.booking.com) works fine with an identical call pattern — so this isn't a general tool outage or network issue.

Already checked / already done, problem persists

  1. In Chrome (chrome://extensions → Claude → Details → Site access) added scanye.pl to the allowed sites list.
  2. Restarted Chrome / reloaded the extension.
  3. Tried several URL variants: https://app.scanye.pl, https://www.scanye.pl, https://scanye.pl.
  4. Tried in newly created tabs (tabs_create_mcp) and after recreating the whole tab group (new tabGroupId) after a Chrome restart.
  5. Checked mcp__ccd_connectors__session_connectors_status — Scanye doesn't appear there as a connector at all, so there's nothing to enable there.
  6. Checked mcp__claude-in-chrome__list_connected_browsers — shows one correctly connected browser (local, Windows).

Same error every time, with no domain-approval prompt ever shown.

Expected behavior

After adding the domain in the Chrome extension's site-access settings (step 1 above), navigation to app.scanye.pl should succeed, the same way it does for booking.com.

Actual behavior

Navigation is blocked every time regardless of changes made on the Chrome side. This suggests the block isn't controlled by Chrome extension site-access permissions at all, but by a separate allowed-domains list on the Claude app/service side that Chrome settings can't influence.

Additionally, the same block applies to github.com itself when tried from within a scheduled-task session — so this may be specific to scheduled/automated task sessions having a fixed, non-editable domain allowlist, separate from interactive sessions.

Usage context

Scanye (app.scanye.pl) is an invoicing/accounting app used daily, including via a Claude Code scheduled task (skill faktury-booking-sianozety and a weekly invoice-reconciliation task). The lack of access blocks automating invoice issuance and payment reconciliation.

What Should Happen?

Nawigacja się udaje, tak jak dla admin.booking.com
