Claude in Chrome: navigation blocked to systeme.io/docs.google.com/google.com despite full site access
I'm using the Claude in Chrome extension via Claude Code Desktop (macOS), and navigation is being refused to certain domains.
Symptom: every call to the navigation tool (navigate) targeting certain domains fails immediately with "Navigation to this domain is not allowed" — before the page even starts loading.
Domains refused (tested): systeme.io, docs.google.com, google.com, chrome://extensions
Domain that works fine in the same session: app.iclosed.io
Checks already done:
- The Claude in Chrome extension has "Site access: On all sites" (verified in
chrome://extensions→ Details) - No domain restriction found in
~/.claude/settings.json,~/.claude.json, or~/.claude/settings.local.json - The block persists on a brand new tab, after toggling the extension off/on, and while the user is actively present in the conversation (so this isn't a pending permission prompt waiting on user approval)
Impact: this blocks an automation (Google Sheet sales/payment tracking + verifying transactions on systeme.io) from working correctly, specifically the part that needs to open systeme.io/dashboard/payment/transactions.
Could you clarify where this domain restriction is configured and how to adjust it?
Thanks,
Jocelyn Valenza
