Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Description
Artifacts (accessed via claude.ai/code/artifact/...) frequently fail to load. Instead of rendering the artifact content, the page shows a broken-file icon with the message "Connection reset".

What Should Happen?

Expected behavior
The artifact should render its content consistently without connection errors.

Environment

  • Browser: [ e.g. Chrome, 152.0.7977.65]
  • OS: [Mac]
  • Workspace/team: appears to be a team project ("Case & Workflow Middle Office")
  • Frequency: [hign]
  • Approximate times observed: [10+]

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open an existing artifact link (e.g. claude.ai/code/artifact/8fd3fed0-1a38-46b0-be55-2108504c93c3)
  2. The page loads the surrounding UI (project name, share button, avatars) but the artifact content area shows a broken-file icon and "Connection reset"
  3. This happens intermittently / frequently (please specify: every time? most of the time? occasionally?)

Claude Model

Sonnet (default)

Is this a regression?

Yes, this worked in a previous version

Last Working Version

_No response_

Claude Code Version

claude-sonnet-5

Platform

Anthropic API

Operating System

macOS

Terminal/Shell

Terminal.app (macOS)

Additional Information

Additional notes
This appears to be a backend/network stability issue with the artifact-serving service rather than a client-side rendering problem, since the surrounding page UI loads fine but the artifact content itself fails.
