I don't see a bug report in the content you've shared. What you've provided is an email from Anthropic's Safeguards Team confirming approval into the Cyber Verification Program (CVP). To generate a GitHub issue title for Claude Code, I would need: 1. A d

Claude
Hello,

Thank you for submitting your application for the CVP. Upon reviewing the details of your submission, we have adjusted the safeguards applied to your account to allow for the cyber use cases you described.

What this means

Dual-use cybersecurity activities (e.g. vulnerability exploitation, offensive security tooling) will no longer be blocked by default for the organization associated with this approval:

Organization ID: b005e141-7303-47ab-ac22-7656e4e69584
Approval applies only to this organization. If your team works using multiple orgs, each one needs its own application.

A note on ongoing monitoring

This adjustment is limited to the use case you described in your submission and is subject to Anthropic's Usage Policy. As outlined in the Usage Policy, Anthropic reserves the right to revoke or narrow adjustments to our safeguards if we determine that your activity falls outside the approved use cases.

What's still blocked

This approval does not adjust default safeguards on prohibited-use activities (e.g. mass data exfiltration or ransomware development). These will remain blocked. If you believe an activity has been miscategorized, see the troubleshooting steps below.

If you're still seeing blocks

Our safeguards are still maturing, and approved users may occasionally encounter blocks on legitimate work. If that happens, here are a few things to check before escalating:

Confirm the organization ID matches your approval
CVP approval is tied to the specific organization ID (or AWS Account ID / Azure Tenant ID) listed above. If you're hitting blocks while signed in to a different organization — for example, a personal workspace or a newly created org — the approval won't carry over. Double-check that the ID where you're seeing blocks matches the one on this approval.

Confirm the activity isn't prohibited use
CVP only lifts blocks on dual-use activities. Prohibited-use activities such as mass data exfiltration or ransomware development are not eligible for the program and will continue to be blocked regardless of your CVP status. If the request falls into that category, CVP is not the right path.

Escalate suspected false positives
If you've confirmed the organization ID is correct and the activity is within the dual-use scope of your approval, you may be hitting a false positive. You can escalate by submitting details through our false positive escalation form. Our team will review the specific block, and your feedback directly helps us refine these safeguards over time.

Thanks for the work you do in defensive security, and thanks for your patience as we continue to improve this program.

Regards,

Anthropic's Safeguards Team
