Desktop app (macOS): Read aloud voice not configurable — legacy system voice unavailable

Issue: The desktop app's Read aloud button (speaker icon on assistant messages) uses a fixed TTS voice with no way to change it. The user wants the legacy system voice they've used on their iPhone for years, but it doesn't appear to be available or selectable in the desktop app — behavior they describe as a bug, since the same voice works fine on their phone.

Expected: Either a voice picker for Read aloud, or the app respecting the macOS system voice (System Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → System voice).
