[Bug][aup] Fable 5 safety block halts routine status check on financial modeling work during a frustrated asid (req_011CchCQrGT5A2sqqZPeLNEV)
Triage: kind aup · domain general · flagging model Fable 5 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
The safety classifier halted the session on a benign three-word status query ("where's it at") asking for the current state of an ongoing automated process — a routine progress check with no unsafe request, target, or content of any kind. The surrounding conversation is legitimate, in-scope engineering work on a numerical automation system, and nothing in the flagged message or its context matches the referenced usage policy. Blocking a bare status question is a clear false positive, and doing so mid-session disrupts otherwise permitted work.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-04T14:45:44.547Z.
