[Bug][aup] Safety block halts routine IT task-list review during a frustrated user exclamation (req_011Ccch4PqmAZtUfhQi9c3Yz)
Triage: kind aup · domain general · flagging model Fable 5 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
The safety classifier halted an active session in which the assistant was performing routine IT administration work — diagnosing user-profile and login performance issues, planning a phased profile-container migration, and reviewing an ordinary task list — none of which involves the harmful categories described in the AUP. The blocked message contained only benign technical status and task-tracking content, with no request for anything malicious, so the flag is a false positive that disrupted legitimate, in-scope work. Because the block terminates the whole coding session rather than declining a single narrow item, its impact is disproportionate to any plausible risk.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-02T05:38:15.483Z.
