[Bug][aup] Safety filter misfired on a frustrated exclamation mid-task, blocking continued backend/API work on (req_011CccUJUtFcNPEngMwHyqBK)
Triage: kind aup · domain general · flagging model Fable 5 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
This block fired mid-session during routine backend engineering work: wiring a per-user write rate limiter, protected-health-information (PHI) screening logic, content-deletion endpoints, and an error-message sanitization pass, followed by running end-to-end access-control tests (confirming cross-user deletion is correctly denied) against a live environment. None of this involves generating harmful content or violating policy — it is standard application security and compliance engineering, the kind of defensive work the acceptable-use policy is meant to encourage. The safeguard most likely fired on benign technical terms (e.g. "PHI," "delete," "vetting," "social") rather than actual intent, and halting the whole coding session over ordinary in-scope work is a disruptive false positive.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-02T02:50:57.039Z.
