Problem Statement

When I add or start a chat inside a Project, it still appears in my main "All chats" / recents list alongside everything else. I'd like a setting (per-project or global) to keep Project conversations only within their Project view, so my global list stays uncluttered and project work stays self-contained.

Use case: I use Projects to separate distinct workstreams, but the global list mixes everything back together, which defeats the organizational benefit.

Proposed Solution

a toggle like "Hide this project's chats from All Chats" or a global "Show project chats in main list: on/off" preference.

Priority

Medium - Would be very helpful

Use Case Example

Example scenario:

  1. I use Projects in Claude Desktop to separate distinct workstreams (e.g., one project per client or topic).
  2. When I start or add a chat inside a Project, that chat also appears in my main "All chats" / recents list, mixed in with every other conversation.
  3. With this feature, I could toggle "Hide this project's chats from All Chats" — either per-project or as a global preference — so project conversations live ONLY in their Project view.
  4. This would save me time because my global list would stay uncluttered, project work would stay self-contained, and I wouldn't have to scroll past project chats to find one-off conversations.
