Routines stuck at "Setting up a cloud container" — never execute

What's Wrong?

All scheduled and manual runs for a routine show status "Running" indefinitely. The container setup never completes. Affected since at least 24 April 2026 — 10+
▎ runs stuck. Routine is Active, Gmail connector attached, GitHub repo connected. Claude Code Research Preview (web).

What Should Happen?

The routine should complete container setup and execute the agent instructions. Each run should finish with a success or failure status, not remain stuck at
▎ "Running" indefinitely.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a Routine in Claude Code (web, Research Preview) with a GitHub repo and Gmail connector attached.

▎ 2. Set it to run on a schedule (e.g. Tue/Fri at 22:00).
▎ 3. Trigger a run (scheduled or manual).
▎ 4. Observe: the run shows "Setting up a cloud container" and never progresses. Status remains "Running" indefinitely.
▎ 5. All subsequent runs (10+ over 4 weeks) show the same "Running" status — none complete.
