Summary

Since updating to Windows Desktop Client to v1.7196.0, the Code tab and New Session flow are both broken, making it impossible to use and add project folders. When on "New session" screen I can't select a project folder, if I try to add one it appears but it's unclickable and disappears on screen change so it's not persistent.

Environment

  • App: Windows Desktop Client
  • Version: 1.7196.0 (regression introduced in this update)

Steps to reproduce

Add folder folder issue:

  1. Open the desktop client and navigate to the Code tab
  2. Click on "New session"
  3. Attempt to add a project folder
  4. Folder appears temporarily but is unclickable
  5. Navigate away and return — the folder is gone

Select existing project folder issue:

  1. Click "New Session"
  2. Attempt to select a project folder from the picker
  3. No project folders are selectable

Expected behavior

  • Added project folders persist across navigation and remain clickable
  • Project folders are selectable when creating a new session

Actual behavior

  • Project folders added appear briefly, are unclickable, and disappear on screen change
  • No project folders can be selected from the New Session flow

Impact

Complete inability to use the desktop client for project-based work.
