unable to select session on `--resume`

Bug Description
using claude --resume correctly lists the stored sessions, but cannot select, search, or esc out of the menu of past sessions.

Using /resume within a session allows a user to select a passed session correctly

Repro steps
Test 1 -

1. at the terminal execute claude --resume
2. search/select a previous session

Test 2 -

1. at the terminal execute claude
2. within claude code use the command /resume
3. search/select a previous session
