Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported for this version/platform combination
  • [x] This is a single bug report
  • [x] I am using the latest version of the Claude Desktop app

What's Wrong?
The Cowork tab is completely missing from the Claude Desktop app after a recent auto-update. It was previously working correctly on this same machine and OS.

Expected Behavior
The Cowork tab should appear alongside Chat and Code in the navigation, as it did before the update.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Claude Desktop app on Windows 11 Home
  2. Observe that only the Chat tab is visible — no Cowork tab
  3. Restart the app — issue persists
  4. Restart the machine — issue persists
  5. Reinstalled the app from claude.com/download — issue persists

Environment

  • App version: 1.3883.0.0
  • OS: Windows 11 Home
  • Interface: Claude Desktop App
  • Plan: Claude Pro
  • Virtual Machine Platform: Enabled
  • Windows Hypervisor Platform: Enabled

Additional Notes
Cowork was working properly on this machine prior to the auto-update. This is not a new installation or configuration issue. The Cowork section is visible in Settings, but the tab itself does not appear in the navigation. No error messages are displayed.

What Should Happen?

The Cowork tab should appear alongside Chat and Code in the navigation, as it did before the update.
