[BUG] Claude Code hanging/timeout - no response from server (macOS)

What's Wrong?

Describe the bug
Claude Code stops completely with no response. Requests time out and the CLI hangs indefinitely without returning any output or error message.
To reproduce

Environment

OS: macOS
Date/time of issue: April 14, 2026

What Should Happen?

nothing. Claude hang out to 6 mins or more.

Steps to Reproduce

Open terminal on macOS
Run any Claude Code command
CLI hangs with no response — timeout occurs

Additional context
Issue appears to be server-side based on recent Anthropic status history (multiple incidents reported April 6–13, 2026). The claude.ai web interface was checked and also showed degraded behavior at the same time.
