What's Wrong?

Description

The /usage screen shows "Current week (all models)" at 94% used with "Resets 2pm (Australia/Sydney)" — but at 2:46pm (Australia/Sydney) the limit had not reset.

The UI convention appears to be: if the reset is today, only the time is shown (no date). If it's a future date, the date is also shown. So "Resets 2pm" (time only, no date) implies the reset should have happened today at 2pm — but it didn't.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use Claude Code heavily throughout the week until the weekly usage limit is nearly exhausted
  2. Open /usage and note the reset time shown (e.g. "Resets 2pm (Australia/Sydney)")
  3. Wait until that time passes
  4. Check /usage again — the weekly counter has not reset

Expected Behavior

The weekly usage limit should reset at the time displayed. If only a time is shown (no date), it should reset today at that time.

Actual Behavior

At 2:46pm (Australia/Sydney), the "Current week (all models)" counter still showed 94% used, 46 minutes after the stated reset time of 2pm.

Environment

  • Platform: macOS (darwin 25.3.0)
  • Timezone: Australia/Sydney
  • Model: claude-opus-4-6
  • Date: 2026-03-05

What Should Happen?

The weekly usage counter should reset at the time displayed in the /usage screen. When the UI shows only a time (no date), that indicates today — so the reset should occur at that time today.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Use Claude Code heavily until "Current week (all models)" usage is near its limit
  2. Run /usage — note the reset time shown is only a time (no date), e.g. "Resets 2pm (Australia/Sydney)"
  3. Wait until that time passes
  4. Run /usage again — the weekly counter has not reset
