[BUG] /usage command shows only time without day for weekly reset

Resolved 💬 5 comments Opened Oct 23, 2025 by indradhanush Closed Jan 12, 2026

Description

The /usage command displays weekly usage reset times showing only the time (e.g., "Resets 1:30pm (Asia/Calcutta)") without indicating which day of the week the reset occurs.

For weekly limits, it's important to know not just the time but also the day when the limit will reset (e.g., "Resets Monday 1:30pm" or "Resets on Mon, Oct 28 at 1:30pm").

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run /usage command
  2. Look at the "Current week" sections
  3. Observe the reset time displays only time without day

Current Behavior

Expected Behavior

The reset time should include the day of the week or date, for example:

  • "Resets Monday 1:30pm (Asia/Calcutta)"
  • "Resets on Mon, Oct 28 at 1:30pm (Asia/Calcutta)"
  • "Resets in 2 days (Monday 1:30pm Asia/Calcutta)"

Environment

  • Platform: macOS (Darwin 24.4.0)
  • Claude Code Version: v2.0.25
  • Model: Sonnet 4.5
  • Plan: Claude Pro

Additional Context

This is particularly confusing for users trying to plan their usage around the weekly reset cycle. The current session reset already shows just the time, which works fine for same-day resets, but weekly resets need day information to be useful.
