Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Using claude code with intellij Claude code plugin 0.1.12-beta, with claude code open in external terminal (not intellij ide terminal), and have /ide setup.
At first ctrl+alt+k is working, file reference can correctly insert to external terminal's claude code. Howerver, after running /clear, the ctrl+alt+k open terminal in intellij instead of sending the file reference to existing claude code terminal. After that, even if i run /ide again, ctrl+alt+k always open new integrated terminal inside intellij. the send file reference stop working.

What Should Happen?

ctrl+alt+k should always send file reference to the existing claude code, not opening new termianl.
