Problem Statement

In the Claude desktop app (macOS), Code tab, the main composer has a microphone button and I dictate almost everything I write with it. When I select part of Claude's message and use "Reply to Claude" (the quote-reply box above the composer), that box has no microphone button, so the quoted reply has to be typed by hand.

Proposed Solution

Add the same voice dictation button to the quote-reply box, so a reply to a quoted part of Claude's message can be dictated like a normal message.

Alternative Solutions

Let the main composer's microphone fill the quote-reply box while it is open.

Priority

Medium

Feature Category

Desktop app (Code tab), composer / input

Use Case Example

I read Claude's long answer, select one paragraph, press "Reply to Claude" and want to say my comment on that paragraph instead of typing it, as I do for every other message.

Additional Context

Claude desktop app for macOS, Code tab.
