[BUG] /usage command fails to load data

What's Wrong?

The /usage command in Claude Code CLI fails with error "Failed to load usage data" instead of displaying usage statistics.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Claude Code CLI (version 2.0.24)
  2. Run the /usage command
  3. Observe the error message

Expected Behavior

The /usage command should display usage statistics including token consumption and API metrics across the Settings, Status, Config, and Usage tabs.

Actual Behavior

Environment

  • Claude Code Version: 2.0.24
  • OS: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS (WSL2 on Windows)

  • Node.js: v22.20.0
  • npm: 10.9.3
  • Platform: linux (WSL2)
