Remote Control sessions no longer receive Claude Code Remote (create_session) and session Gmail connectors since ~2026-09-18

Summary

Since about 2026-09-18 12:32 PT, Remote Control / hub worker sessions no longer get the server-attached session MCP connectors. The Claude Code Remote connector (create_session, get_session, list_sessions, archive_session, interrupt_session) and the session-scoped Gmail connector are missing from every new session, no matter which client started it. As a result, a session can no longer spawn a new session through create_session.

Environment

• Windows 11, native CLI install, claude remote-control hub (sessions run as claude.exe --print --sdk-url .../v1/code/sessions/cse_...)
• CLI versions affected: 2.1.277 through 2.1.284 (current). Last working: 2.1.276.
• Account-level claude.ai connectors (e.g. mcp__claude_ai_Gmail__*) still attach normally.

Evidence

• These connectors are proxied through https://api.anthropic.com/v2/ccr-sessions/<id>/mcp. A session that receives them writes a log under %LOCALAPPDATA%\claude-cli-nodejs\Cache\<project>\mcp-logs-Claude-Code-Remote\ about 3 seconds after it starts.
• The newest file in that directory is 2026-09-18T19-32-37-616Z.jsonl. No new files have appeared since, even though many sessions have started every day.
• mcp-logs-Gmail\ (the session connector) stopped writing on the same date.
• Reproduced on 2026-09-28 with a new session started from the iOS app. Before 9/18, iOS-started sessions always had both connectors. This time a ToolSearch for create_session returned nothing, and no new connector log was written.
• It affects sessions started from the iOS app, from Desktop, and from the CLI. Peer sessions contacted through SendMessage also report that they don't have the tool.

Expected

Hub worker sessions receive the Claude Code Remote connector (and the session Gmail connector) at startup, as they did through 2026-09-18.

Actual

Neither connector is attached. create_session is unavailable in every session.
