Cowork Windows: ALL claude.ai-hosted MCP connectors fail silently since ~May 21, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Still reproducible on Windows — June 2026 — ALL connectors affected, not just Gmail

This issue is still active for me. Adding details to bump it back from stale.

Environment

  • Platform: Windows
  • Claude Desktop: latest version
  • Plan: [Pro]
  • First broken: approximately May 21, 2026 (worked fine before that)

Symptom
All claude.ai-hosted MCP connectors are broken in Cowork. Affected connectors confirmed:

  • Gmail
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Drive
  • Slack
  • Notion
  • Calendly
  • Razorpay
  • Indeed
  • Canva

All connectors show as connected and green in Settings → Connectors. All work correctly in the Claude Desktop chat tab. All are completely non-functional in Cowork — tools either expose zero results or fail silently.

This matches the macOS scope bug in #62556 where the Cowork OAuth token is missing the user:mcp_servers scope. The symptom pattern is identical — chat tab works, Cowork doesn't, across every connector simultaneously. Likely the same root cause on Windows.

  • Disconnect and reconnect connectors (full OAuth re-flow)
  • Toggle connectors off and back on inside Cowork session
  • Sign out and sign back in to Claude Desktop
  • Revoked Claude access from connected accounts and reconnected fresh

Gmail and all other connectors were working reliably in Cowork for several months before the regression. The chat tab continues to work fine on the same account and machine. This is blocking all automated workflows I rely on daily.

What Should Happen?

Connectors should be used.

Additional Information

As mentioned, Gmail isn't connected yet so I can't access your inbox. Here's how to fix that:

Open Cowork Settings → Integrations → Google
Sign in with [xxxxxx)
Grant Gmail read access
Come back and say "show my last 3 emails"
