What were you trying to do?

Attach files from a private organization-owned GitHub repository to a claude.ai chat so Claude could read them.

What happened instead?

My GitHub account is connected and the Claude GitHub App is installed. In a new chat, I used "+" → "Add from GitHub" and selected the repository and main branch. No file/folder browser appeared, and no permission prompt was shown. Only the repository URL (…/tree/main) was inserted into the message.
When I sent the message, Claude said it had no GitHub tools in the conversation, tried to fetch the URL as a web page, and was blocked by GitHub (robots disallowed). An anonymous git clone also required authentication. Claude could not read any files.
The settings page appears to show the integration as scoped to cloud sessions only. This looks like the same issue as #96736 and #97723: no chat-side GitHub connector is available even though the "Add from GitHub" dialog depends on one.

Expected: Claude should be able to read files from the selected repository in chat, as described in the documentation.

Environment: claude.ai web, Windows, Chrome, Team/Enterprise plan
