What were you trying to do?

Attach a private GitHub repo to a Claude chat so Claude could read the files in it — first by pasting the GitHub URL directly, then by using the "Add from GitHub" picker after that didn't work.

What happened instead?

Pasting the URL failed outright (Claude said the page was blocked by the site's robots rules and that an anonymous git clone asked for a login). Switching to the "+" → "Add from GitHub" picker, the repo and branch showed as correctly selected at the top, but the file/folder browser underneath stayed completely empty — no files, no folders, no error message. The GitHub connector shows as "Connected" in Settings, but it never actually surfaced any content from the repo, so I had no way to select or attach anything.
