On the Claude iPad app (Code tab), a local Claude Code session reached via Remote Control and a cloud session look the same. The title bar only shows <repo> vs <repo> · <environment>, and nothing else indicates where the session runs.
Why it matters
- Quota: local sessions consume the plan's 5-hour / weekly limits; cloud sessions use cloud session credits. Users can't tell which pool a session is draining.
- Capabilities: local sessions can access local files, databases and dev servers; cloud sessions only see what is pushed to GitHub. Asking a cloud session to check a local preview or run a deploy fails or produces wrong conclusions.
Workaround today: manually naming the cloud environment with "(cloud)". Without that, the two kinds of session are indistinguishable on iPad.
Request: a clear badge/icon (e.g. "Local · <Mac name>" vs "Cloud · <environment>") in the session list and title bar, and ideally which usage pool the session draws from.
Environment: Claude iPad app (Code tab), Claude Desktop (macOS) with Remote Control enabled, Claude Pro plan.
