Summary

Auto-detect the PR for the current branch, regardless of host, instead of requiring a manual bind_pr call by URL every time.

Context

  • Claude desktop app: 2.2553.1 (macOS)
  • gh CLI fully authenticated and functional against a *.ghe.com tenant (gh pr view, gh pr checks resolve the host correctly from git remote and work as expected)
  • Repo remote: git@<tenant>.ghe.com:<org>/<repo>.git

Problem

Checking out a branch that has an open PR on *.ghe.com does not populate the desktop app's PR bar — the session only binds a PR after it runs gh pr create or pushes from that session. An internal bind_pr tool exists to cover this manually, and its own description names "GitHub Enterprise host" as one of the cases it's meant to compensate for — so this gap is already acknowledged internally.

Once a PR is manually bound, the app fetches and displays accurate status (checks, review decision, mergeable state) for the *.ghe.com PR without issue — so the data path works; only the automatic detection on branch checkout is missing.

Ask

Auto-bind the PR for the current branch on checkout/switch for any configured host, not just github.com.
