Version: Claude Code CLI v2.1.268
Platform: macOS (Darwin), also reproduced inside the claudecode.nvim Neovim plugin's terminal integration

Description

When using the @file/path#L1-2 line-range mention syntax in the TUI input area, Claude Code renders a blue "N line(s) selected" indicator/pill inline in the input area. This indicator takes up horizontal width in the input line, which becomes especially cramped in narrower terminal panes (e.g. when Claude Code is run inside a Neovim terminal split via claudecode.nvim).

I confirmed this indicator is rendered by Claude Code CLI itself, not by claudecode.nvim — that plugin's selection-tracking code only forwards Neovim-side visual selection state to the Claude Code server and contains no rendering logic for this indicator.

Request

Add a setting (e.g. in settings.json, or a CLI flag) to hide/disable this "N line(s) selected" indicator in the input area, so it doesn't consume horizontal space for users working in narrow terminal panes.

I checked the current settings schema, docs, and changelog and found no existing option for this.
