[BUG] Diffs not appearing when Claude Code makes edits

What's Wrong?

When Claude Code makes edits, it used to show the diffs, but currently it doesn't. It just says:

``ran N shell commands``

What Should Happen?

It used to show me the diffs during edits:

1. Open Claude Code in terminal and make it write code
2. It begins writing code and doesn't give you the diffs

Additional Information

This is not a one-off thing. Roughly half of the sessions don't show the edits. It's quite frustrating.
