Problem Statement

Add an option to view code diffs side-by-side like most code viewers do (VS Code, Github...)

This has been suggested here, here and here but still relevant and the bot explitly asks to create a new issue in that case.

Proposed Solution

An "editorDiffStyle" option in settings.json.
