Esc does not exit /status (Usage tab) — requires Ctrl+C to force-quit

Version: v2.1.234 (possibly reproducible on v2.1.233 as well)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Run /status
  2. Switch to the "Usage" tab
  3. Press Esc to exit

Expected: Esc closes the /status panel and returns to the prompt (the panel itself displays "Esc to cancel" at the bottom).

Actual: Esc does nothing — the UI is stuck on the Usage tab and does not respond. The only way to recover is Ctrl+C to force-quit.
