[BUG] Waiting for API response every reply

What's Wrong?

On every single response across every model, I get anywhere between several seconds and several minutes of "waiting fro API response" before the agent responds or begins to "churn" on its response. This is a significant degredation from previously where this never happened.

What Should Happen?

Claude code should suck less
