Environment
- Platform (select one):
- [ X] Anthropic API
- [ ] AWS Bedrock
- [ ] Google Vertex AI
- [ ] Other: <!-- specify -->
- Claude CLI version: <!-- output of
claude --version--> - Operating System: <!-- e.g. macOS 14.3, Windows 11, Ubuntu 22.04 -->
- Terminal: WARP & iTerm
- on an Intel Mac with Sequoia 15.3.2
Bug Description
The most recent updates (for approximately the past week), are consistently hanging inside Claude Code. Pressing any key while it is "thinking" results in it being placed into a background process and when typing fg to put it back into the foreground, it hangs and puts out escape codes in the terminal.
Steps to Reproduce
- Run Claude Code
- Give it any longer task (>30 seconds)
- Let it run and it hangs.
Expected Behavior
It should not hang and place itself in background. When I use the models from cursor, windsurf or the Claude App, I do not see anything like this behavior
Actual Behavior
Described above
Additional Context
This is all recent behavior so it must have been introduced with the within the past week or so.
