Models constantly hanging since Claude 4.6 launch

Description

Since the launch of Claude 4.6 (Opus 4.6), models constantly hang during use in Claude Code. The tool becomes unresponsive and does not produce output.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Use Claude Code with any model (observed since 4.6 launch)
2. During normal usage, the model hangs — no output, no progress
3. Restart Claude Code — issue persists
4. Refresh/wait multiple hours — issue persists

Expected Behavior

Models should respond within a reasonable timeframe without hanging.

Actual Behavior

Models hang indefinitely. Restarting, refreshing, and waiting multiple hours does not resolve the issue. This behavior began specifically with the launch of Claude 4.6.

Environment

• OS: Windows 11 Home 10.0.26200
• Claude Code version: 2.1.42
• Model: claude-opus-4-6 (but affects general usage)
