Triage: kind cyber · domain reverse-engineering · flagging model Opus 4.8 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below

Type: Cybersecurity safety-filter false positive · Work domain (heuristic): reverse-engineering

Why this is a false positive

The session was reverse-engineering a device's ADS-B/traffic-alert data fields using an existing public decompile and a known open-source protocol bridge as references, work explicitly scoped to non-PII, non-vendor-app-code technical fields for a documented sharing policy. The block also appears to have triggered on a frustrated exclamation directed at the assistant mid-session (no person addressed), and a block that halts the entire session over venting compounds the disruption on top of the false positive on in-scope RE work.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-06T18:31:39.078Z.
