[Bug][aup] Frustrated exclamation during signup-modal UI work wrongly flagged as unsafe, blocking response (req_011Cccc7ydWZmg64jUujXfKT)
Triage: kind aup · domain general · flagging model Fable 5 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
This safety block fired on a frustrated exclamation the user directed at the assistant mid-session, after repeated failures on an in-scope task; no person was addressed and no harmful request was made. The surrounding work was ordinary, legitimate web development — updating icons and building a signup modal with standard bot-mitigation measures — none of which violates the usage policy. Halting an entire coding session over a user venting profanity at the tool is a disruptive false positive that penalizes normal expressions of frustration rather than any actual policy-violating content.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-02T04:33:33.351Z.
