Triage: kind cyber · domain general · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below

Type: Cybersecurity safety-filter false positive · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

The Fable 5 safety classifier blocked a routine IT support task—diagnosing user disconnects and scheduling a software update on a remote desktop server—because the request and surrounding code contained generic system-administration and networking terminology that the cybersecurity filter treats as sensitive. No exploitation, intrusion, or offensive-security activity was involved; this is authorized internal helpdesk work on infrastructure the operator owns and administers. The block appears to be triggered by keyword-level pattern matching on common "cybersecurity-adjacent" vocabulary rather than any actual harmful intent or content, making it a clear false positive that prevents legitimate operational work.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-06-10T14:23:46.906Z.

In-scope justification

False positive — in-scope, authorized security work; not out of scope. Filed automatically by claudit.

Block message

API Error: Fable 5 has safety measures that flag messages on most cybersecurity or biology topics (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/aup). They may flag safe, normal content as well. These measures let us bring you Mythos-level capability in other areas sooner, and we're working to refine them. Claude Code can't respond to this request with Fable 5.
