[Bug][aup] Refused to verify local SSH key presence and test GitHub SSH authentication for repo access (req_011CcUE5fyE9yUvTdjxJN75m)
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
This task involved authorized, in-scope security research with the user's own infrastructure, and the blocked step was a routine environment check: verifying that a local SSH key could authenticate to a code-hosting service before performing ordinary git operations. The command merely listed key files and ran a standard authentication test (a -T connectivity check) against a hosting provider — read-only diagnostics with no exploitation, targeting, or unauthorized access of any kind. Treating benign credential-presence and connectivity verification as a policy violation is a false positive that blocks legitimate development and research setup.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-06-27T18:19:56.120Z.
