[Billing] Confirmed refund $90.00 USD not processed after 59 days - Extra Usage Credits

What's Wrong?

On April 28, 2026, I accidentally clicked "Pay" twice
on claude.ai (web browser) for the $50 Extra Usage
package, resulting in two charges of $45.00 each
(total $90.00 USD) to my Visa card ending in 5981.

On June 5, 2026, Anthropic support confirmed in writing
that my refund would be processed within 5-10 business
days. It has now been 59 days with no refund received.

Evidence:

  • Receipt #2169-3973-3521: $45.00 (Visa-5981)
  • Receipt #2661-0562-3034: $45.00 (Visa-5981)
  • Account still shows $100.00 unused credit balance
  • Bank (CTBC) confirms NO refund received
  • Support confirmed: refund never submitted to Stripe
  • Support confirmed: credit grant never voided in Metronome
  • Support confirmed: AI agents cannot escalate to humans

What Should Happen?

A human agent with access to Stripe and Metronome
should:

  1. Process the $90.00 USD refund to Visa ending in 5981
  2. Void the $100.00 credit grant in Metronome

This has been unresolved for 59 days despite confirmed
eligibility and full documentation.

Error Messages/Logs

Refund confirmed June 5, 2026 but never processed.
Bank (CTBC) confirms no refund received.
Account still shows $100.00 unused credit balance.
Support AI confirmed: credit grant never voided in Metronome.
Support AI confirmed: refund may not have been submitted to Stripe.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Purchase Extra Usage Credits on claude.ai via web browser
  2. Request refund within 7-day window
  3. Receive written confirmation that refund will be processed
  4. Wait 5-10 business days - no refund received
  5. Contact bank - bank confirms no refund record exists
  6. Check Claude account - $100.00 credit balance still showing
  7. Contact support repeatedly - only AI agents respond
  8. AI agents confirm refund was never submitted to Stripe

and credit grant was never voided in Metronome
